Night Shift One Hop This Time

One Hop This Time from NIGHT SHIFT is an intriguing entry in their rotating single hop IPA series, showcasing the vibrant character of Amarillo® hops. Brewed in Massachusetts, this New England IPA embodies the quintessential qualities that the style is known for: a soft, hazy appearance and a juicy, fruit-forward flavor profile. With an ABV of 6%, it strikes a balanced harmony between its expressive hop character and a moderate alcohol presence. The star of this edition, Amarillo® hops, brings a delightful burst of citrus and floral notes, with a particular emphasis on orange and grapefruit, rounded off with subtle hints of melon and peach. While the bitterness specifics are not enumerated, you can expect a smooth, approachable finish characteristic of New England IPAs, where hop flavor takes precedence over bitterness. To elevate your tasting experience, serve One Hop This Time at a temperature between 45 and 50 degrees Fahrenheit, allowing the hop aromas to fully develop. The choice of glassware is essential; opt for a tulip glass or a classic IPA glass to capture the aromatic bouquet and to maintain the beer's creamy head. Food pairings that complement this IPA include spicy dishes like Thai green curry or a zesty shrimp taco, both of which will play nicely with the beer's citrus notes. For those inclined towards a more traditional pairing, a sharp cheddar or a slice of pepperoni pizza can also enhance the beer's vibrant profile. One Hop This Time is crafted for those who appreciate the nuances of a single hop expression, promising a refreshing exploration with every sip.
