Oxbow No. 1

No. 1 by OXBOW is a farmhouse ale that captures the essence of traditional Belgian-style brewing, offering a taste experience that is both refreshing and complex. With an ABV of 5.0% and an IBU of 20, this saison strikes a harmonious balance between crisp, clean flavors and a delicate bitterness that doesn't overpower. Expect subtle hints of spice and citrus, typical of the style, which contribute to its engaging yet approachable character. This beer's versatility makes it an excellent companion for a variety of dishes. Pair it with soft cheeses like Camembert or Brie to enhance the creamy textures, or serve it alongside roasted chicken and lightly spiced dishes to complement its nuanced flavor profile. Its effervescent quality can also cut through the richness of charcuterie, making it an ideal choice for a curated meat and cheese board. For optimal enjoyment, serve No. 1 at a temperature between 45–50°F in a tulip glass. This specific glassware not only showcases the beer's delicate aromas but also allows the head to form properly, enhancing the overall sensory experience. Whether you're exploring the complexities of Belgian-style ales or simply seeking a refreshing brew to enjoy with friends, No. 1 by OXBOW offers a taste of Maine's craft scene that is both traditional and uniquely satisfying.
