Grimm NA Nothing Else

NA Nothing Else is a non-alcoholic offering from GRIMM, and the name states the pitch: a zero-alcohol drink meant to be taken on its own terms. The listing doesn't give a style, ingredient list or official tasting notes, so what follows is serving guidance for non-alcoholic drinks of this kind, not a measured profile of this bottle or can. Non-alcoholic drinks usually taste best well chilled. Aim for roughly 3 to 6°C, straight from the refrigerator. Cold keeps the flavor crisp. Left to warm, many NA drinks lose definition and the sweetness or bitterness can stand out more. If it turns out to be a beer-style or sparkling drink, pour it gently into a clean glass to build a little head and release aroma. If it is a still or spirit-style drink, a short pour over a large ice cube lets it dilute slowly. For glassware, a tulip, stemmed pint or wine glass suits a beer-style drink, because the narrowing rim holds aroma. For a spirit-style or still drink, an old-fashioned or rocks glass works well over ice. In either case a tall highball glass with plenty of ice is the way to go if you want to stretch it into a long drink. As a mixer, use it the way you'd use a comparable drink in a spritz-style or highball build. Top it with soda or tonic, add a citrus wedge or a strip of peel, and add a herb sprig if the flavor leans that way. Taste it first and keep any added sugar low. For food, match it to what the flavor suggests: salty snacks, grilled meats, and fried or spiced dishes tend to suit most NA drinks. Check the label for the producer's own flavor description before you commit to a specific pairing.
