Luxardo Maraschino Liquer

Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur is a distinguished cherry liqueur hailing from the Veneto region of Italy. Crafted with meticulous care by the Luxardo family, it captures the essence of sour Marasca cherries, which are grown in their own orchards nestled in the picturesque Euganean Hills. The production process is a time-honored tradition, where cherries along with their stones, branches, and leaves are steeped for two years in larchwood vats with neutral alcohol. This lengthy infusion is then distilled, and the heart of the cherry distillate undergoes a further aging process in Finnish ash wood vats for 12 to 18 months, culminating in a liqueur of remarkable depth and complexity. This 32% ABV liqueur is a versatile delight for the palate, offering a balance of sweetness and the distinct tartness of Marasca cherries. Known for its clear, robust cherry flavor, it serves many purposes in both classic and contemporary cocktails. As a cocktail modifier, it is an essential component in the renowned Aviation, where its fruity notes perfectly complement the floral undertones of gin and the citrus burst of lemon. It's equally at home in a Last Word cocktail, where its unique character harmonizes with the botanicals of green Chartreuse and fresh lime juice. Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur can be served in a variety of ways to suit different preferences. Enjoy it neat to savor its rich cherry essence, or pour it over ice for a refreshing chill that tempers its sweetness. For a lighter touch, consider topping it with soda water to create a refreshing spritz, highlighting its crisp, clean finish. Whether as an aperitif or a digestif, this liqueur also pairs beautifully with dark chocolate desserts, offering a contrast that enhances the complexity of both. With Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur, each sip transports you to the sun-drenched orchards of Veneto, where the legacy of cherry craftsmanship endures.
