Description
Amstel Light, hailing from the vibrant brewing tradition of Amsterdam, is a testament to the art of crafting a satisfying lager with lower alcohol content. With an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 3.5% and an International Bitterness Unit (IBU) of 18, this beer presents a delicately balanced profile, making it an ideal choice for those who appreciate an easy-drinking experience. The beer's light body and crisp finish are complemented by a subtle hop character, offering a refreshing taste that doesn't overwhelm the palate. Perfectly suited for casual gatherings or a relaxed afternoon, Amstel Light pairs effortlessly with a variety of foods. Its mild maltiness and restrained bitterness make it a versatile companion to lighter fare such as grilled chicken, salads, or seafood. The beer's refreshing qualities also enhance spicy dishes, helping cleanse the palate and highlighting flavors without competing with them. For optimal enjoyment, serve Amstel Light well-chilled, ideally between 38-40 degrees Fahrenheit, to accentuate its crisp and clean profile. A standard pint glass or a classic lager glass is recommended to allow the beer's gentle aroma to be fully appreciated and to maintain its delicate head. Whether you're unwinding after a long day or sharing moments with friends, Amstel Light offers a light yet flavorful option that embodies the laid-back spirit of its Dutch origins.

My dad swears by these so picked up a six pack for him. He loved it more than me honestly, I lean IPA, he likes them lighter.
Response from CBC Liquors, Westford
Glad your dad enjoyed it! If you ever want to split the difference, maybe try Heineken next time.

Cracked one straight from the bottle while grilling last night. Really cold, super easy drinking. Would get again for cookouts.

Right out of the bottle on a hot day is perfect for Amstel Light. - Dan

Usually reach for heavier stuff but this went down smoother than I remembered. Not as watery as most light beers. Still wish it had a bit more kick.
Response from CBC Liquors, Westford
Light lagers are definitely milder, but Amstel is one of the better ones for body.
