Other Half Laced in Space

Laced in Space by Other Half Brewing Company offers a quintessential exploration of the New England IPA style, a subcategory known for its hazy appearance and juicy, fruit-forward character. Crafted in the United States, this beer embodies the lush, tropical and citrusy flavors that define the style, likely showcasing a dominant hop profile with notes of mango, pineapple, and perhaps a touch of stone fruit. While the exact bitterness level and alcohol content aren't specified, expect a moderate ABV, typical of this style, balancing the sweet malt backbone with the vibrant hop bouquet in a harmonious blend. To fully appreciate the nuanced flavors of Laced in Space, serving it slightly chilled at around 45–50°F (7–10°C) will allow its aromatic qualities to shine. The use of a tulip glass is recommended, as its shape captures the intense hop aromas and supports a creamy head, enhancing the overall drinking experience. This beer's hazy, juicy nature makes it an ideal companion for food pairings that complement and contrast its flavors. Consider pairing it with spicy dishes like Thai curry or buffalo wings, where its lush fruitiness can temper the heat, or opt for something like a citrus-glazed salmon to echo and elevate the beer's tropical notes. Laced in Space is a versatile beer that can be enjoyed in various settings, from casual gatherings to more thoughtful beer tastings. Its rich hop character and smooth mouthfeel invite exploration and appreciation for the craft of brewing distinctive New England IPAs.
