Amherst Jess

Jess by AMHERST is a quintessential American IPA hailing from the craft beer-rich region of Massachusetts. With an ABV of 5.2% and an IBU of 40, it showcases a harmonious blend of hop-forward character and subtle malt undertones. The moderate bitterness provides a crisp finish that is sure to refresh, making it an inviting choice for those who appreciate a well-rounded IPA. Expect the aroma to burst with notes typical to American IPAs, possibly featuring hints of citrus and pine, which are often present due to the use of American hops. The taste follows through with a balanced profile, where the hops take center stage but are gracefully complemented by a gentle malt sweetness. This balance makes Jess versatile enough for various palates, from those new to IPAs to seasoned enthusiasts. When it comes to serving Jess, aim for a temperature between 45-50°F to truly appreciate its nuanced flavors. The ideal glassware would be a tulip glass, which helps concentrate the aroma while providing space for the beer's head to form. This combination allows for the fullest sensory experience, capturing both the aroma and the visual appeal of its lively carbonation. Pairing Jess with the right foods can elevate your dining experience. Its crisp, hoppy character complements well-grilled meats, such as a juicy burger or a charred steak. For those who prefer lighter fare, grilled fish or a fresh garden salad with a citrus vinaigrette can perfectly match the beer’s refreshing finish. Whether enjoyed as a standalone refreshment or as a complement to a meal, Jess by AMHERST is a testament to the dynamic flavors that American IPAs can offer.
