Description
Iron Jaw from THE VEIL is a robust stout that stands as a testament to the craft brewery's dedication to high-gravity creations. With an ABV of 12%, this stout from Virginia has a rich, full-bodied profile that typically delivers deep, roasted malt flavors. Expect notes reminiscent of dark chocolate and coffee, creating a smooth, velvety mouthfeel that stout enthusiasts will appreciate. Serve Iron Jaw at a slightly warmer temperature than lighter beers, ideally between 50-55°F, to fully appreciate its complex layers of malt. The absence of hop bitterness (0 IBU) allows the malt character to take center stage. Pour it into a traditional pint glass or a snifter to concentrate its aromas and flavors, enhancing the overall tasting experience. When it comes to food pairings, Iron Jaw's intense malt profile makes it an excellent companion to hearty dishes. Try it alongside a rich beef stew, char-grilled meats, or robust cheeses like aged cheddar or gouda. For a sweeter pairing, indulge with a chocolate dessert or a dense, nutty cake to complement the stout's inherent cocoa undertones. THE VEIL has crafted Iron Jaw to be a bold representation of their brewing philosophy, focusing on the depth and richness that comes with high-gravity brews. Whether you're exploring the complexities of stouts or seeking a rich accompaniment to a meal, Iron Jaw is a noteworthy choice for those who appreciate the darker side of the beer spectrum.

Rich and bold. Campfire beer.

Cracked it open on the porch after grilling burgers. Real heavy, but pretty smooth for 12 percent. Could have gone for a little more roast but still solid stuff.
Response from CBC Liquors, Westford
Burgers and a strong stout make a good combo. Next time you want something with even more roast, try Old Rasputin too.
