Good Word Holographic Heart

Holographic Heart is a specialty beer from Good Word. The listing doesn't give a style, ABV or IBU, so what follows is general guidance for the specialty category, not a measured profile. The name and category suggest a flavored or adjunct-driven release, so check the can or bottle for the exact style and strength before planning around it. Specialty beers like this often use fruit, spice, lactose or other additions on top of a pale, wheat or sour base. Expect the flavor to lean on those additions more than on hop bitterness, with a body that runs light to medium. If the label shows a higher ABV, serve it in smaller pours and give it a few minutes to open up as it warms. Serve it cold but not ice-cold, around 4 to 8°C (40 to 46°F). Fridge temperature mutes aroma, and a short rest on the counter brings out fruit and spice notes. A tulip or a stemmed teku glass suits experimental beers best, because the curved bowl concentrates aroma and holds the head. A standard pint glass or a wine glass also works. For food, bright and fruity beers go well with soft cheeses such as goat cheese or brie, and with salads and seafood. If the beer turns out to be sweeter, try it with spicy dishes, since sweetness balances heat. A hoppier or richer version would suit grilled meats or fried foods instead.
