Castle Island High Note

High Note by Castle Island is a quintessential New England IPA that showcases the vibrant character of this beloved style. Brewed in Massachusetts, this beer offers a delightful 6.5% ABV and a 65 IBU, perfectly capturing the region’s passion for hop-forward brews. Expect an enticing aroma that bursts with citrus and tropical fruit notes, creating an immediate sense of anticipation for the first sip. As you taste, you'll find a dynamic interplay between the bright, juicy fruit flavors and a subtle, balanced malt backbone that provides just the right amount of support without overshadowing the hops. This IPA’s refreshing and crisp finish makes it an excellent companion for a variety of culinary delights. Its hop-driven profile complements spicy dishes beautifully, from buffalo wings to Thai curry, while the tropical fruit notes play well with lighter fare like grilled shrimp or a fresh summer salad. For those looking to explore more robust pairings, consider serving it alongside sharp cheddar or a tangy blue cheese, where the beer’s bitterness can cut through the richness of the cheese. For optimal enjoyment, serve High Note at a temperature between 45-50°F, which allows its complex flavors to shine without overpowering the palate. This beer is best poured into a tulip glass, which helps concentrate the aromatic bouquet while also showcasing its hazy, golden appearance. Whether you're a dedicated IPA aficionado or new to the vibrant world of hop-centric brews, High Note by Castle Island promises a satisfying and flavorful experience that captures the essence of New England craft beer.
