Description
DeLoach's Heritage Reserve Pinot Noir hails from the sunlit expanses of California, offering a delightful exploration of the unique character this region imparts to the notoriously temperamental grape. With an ABV of 14.5%, this wine showcases the bold yet balanced side of Pinot Noir, marrying the lush fruitiness typical of warm Californian vineyards with a refined elegance that surprises and delights. Expect aromas of ripe cherries and strawberries, underscored by whispers of earthy undertones that are emblematic of Californian terroir. On the palate, it unfolds with a medium body, presenting a harmonious blend of dark fruit flavors. The tannins are supple, providing structure without overwhelming the senses, while the wine's acidity brings a vibrant freshness to each sip. The subtle influence of oak adds complexity, enriching the wine with nuances of vanilla and spice that linger through a smooth, satisfying finish. This Pinot Noir pairs wonderfully with an array of dishes. It complements roasted poultry, mushroom risotto, or a charcuterie board with soft cheeses and cured meats, enhancing the flavors without overshadowing them. Serve it slightly below room temperature—around 60 to 65 degrees Fahrenheit—to fully appreciate its complexity. Decanting for about 20 to 30 minutes can open up its aromatic profile, though it is equally enjoyable straight from the bottle. For the best experience, use a large, bowled glass that allows the wine to breathe and concentrate its bouquet. While the Heritage Reserve Pinot Noir is delightful to drink now, its balanced acidity and fruit structure suggest that it could also develop additional depth with a few years of careful cellaring. Whether you choose to enjoy it immediately or let it evolve over time, this wine promises a reflection of California's rich viticultural heritage in every glass.

-
Drank it chilled out of wine glasses, nothing fancy. Easy to sip watching TV, solid weeknight pinot.
-
Went through a bottle with my sister and her boyfriend during taco night. Really easy drinking for the price, little on the fruitier side but went fine with everything.
Response from CBC Liquors, Westford
Glad you all enjoyed the Heritage Reserve Pinot with tacos. If you like it a little less fruity, try our Mark West next time.
