Mikkeller Finger Guns

Finger Guns from MIKKELLER is a beer that embodies the distinctive qualities of a New England IPA, crafted in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark. This hazy IPA boasts an ABV of 7.2%, delivering a robust yet smooth drinking experience. What sets Finger Guns apart is its unique approach to bitterness — or rather, the lack thereof, with an IBU of 0. Despite its minimal bitterness, this beer offers a lush and juicy profile, bursting with tropical fruit flavors and aromas. Expect notes of ripe mango, pineapple, and citrus, all beautifully balanced with a soft, pillowy mouthfeel. New England IPAs like Finger Guns are typically unfiltered, giving the beer its characteristic cloudy appearance and full-bodied texture. This style is best enjoyed when served cold, ideally between 45-50°F, to enhance its fruity and aromatic qualities. The recommended glassware for this type of brew is a tulip or a wide-mouthed glass, which allows the vibrant aromas to concentrate and the flavors to unfold with every sip. When it comes to food pairings, Finger Guns shines alongside dishes that can complement its tropical and citrus notes. Consider pairing it with spicy Thai cuisine, where the beer's juicy profile can temper the heat of the dish. Alternatively, it pairs well with grilled meats, such as pork or chicken, where its fruity undertones can enhance the savory flavors. For cheese lovers, a creamy brie or a tangy goat cheese will provide a delightful contrast to the beer’s smooth and fruity character. Finger Guns is an excellent choice for those who appreciate the New England IPA style and are looking for a unique twist with its absence of bitterness. Its vibrant flavor profile and versatility in food pairings make it a noteworthy addition to any beer enthusiast's collection.
