Short Path Fernet

Fernet by Short Path is a robust herbal liqueur, crafted in Massachusetts, that proudly wears its complexity on its sleeve. This distinctive spirit, with an ABV of 40%, is renowned for its bold, bittersweet character, drawn from a meticulous blend of botanicals. Its pronounced herbal notes make it a standout choice for those who appreciate a liqueur with a firm, bracing demeanor. Perfectly suited for sipping as a digestif, Short Path's Fernet brings a refreshing conclusion to any meal. Its assertive bitterness and intricate layers of flavor invite exploration and reward the palate with a lingering finish. Neat or served over a large ice cube, it allows the full spectrum of its botanical essence to unfold, revealing hints of mint, spices, and a subtle earthiness that are typical of styles like this. However, Fernet's versatility shines in its ability to elevate cocktails, whether as a primary or supporting ingredient. Classic cocktails such as the Toronto, where Fernet's invigorating profile complements the richness of rye whiskey, or a refreshing Fernet and tonic, are ideal showcases for its depth. For those seeking a contemporary twist, it can add unexpected complexity to a Negroni or even a simple Fernet and cola, where its bitter notes meld beautifully with the sweetness of the mixer. Whether enjoyed on its own or as a creative cocktail base, Short Path’s Fernet is a testament to the art of botanical liqueur crafting, making it a must-have for any enthusiast of bold, herbal spirits.
