Champlain Farmstead

Farmstead by Champlain is a cider that beautifully marries tradition with contemporary flair, originating from the picturesque regions of Quebec, Canada. With an ABV of 6.5%, this cider offers a robust profile that appeals to both seasoned cider drinkers and newcomers alike. While not a beer, its craftsmanship evokes a sense of refined brewing techniques, rendering it distinctive in the world of ciders. Expect a harmonious blend of crisp apple undertones and a subtle hint of floral hops, all balanced with a moderate bitterness, typical of its 25 IBU rating. This cider is best enjoyed chilled to around 45°F (7°C) to maintain its refreshing qualities and to allow the crisp, fruity notes to shine. Serving it in a tulip glass will enhance its aromatic profile and concentrate its nuanced flavors, providing a fuller sensory experience. The tulip glass’s shape encourages gentle swirling, releasing the cider’s delicate bouquet, which hints at the orchard origins with every sip. Perfect for pairing with a variety of dishes, Farmstead complements the buttery richness of roasted poultry or the savory depth of aged cheddar. Its clean finish and moderate bitterness also make it an excellent companion for spicier fare, such as Thai or Indian cuisine, where it can temper heat while accentuating complex flavors. This cider's versatility in pairing extends to desserts, particularly those incorporating caramel or apple, where it can echo and elevate the sweetness found in the dish. Whether you're exploring new cider options or revisiting a trusted favorite, Farmstead by Champlain offers an authentic taste of Quebec's cider-making heritage, crafted for those who appreciate balance and depth in their beverages.
