Description
Erastus is a Belgian-style tripel from Schilling Beer Co. in New Hampshire, available at CBC Liquors in Westford. At 9.0% ABV, it combines fruity esters and spicy notes with a robust body and a dry finish. A tripel is a strong, golden Belgian-style ale, and this one is best served mildly chilled, around 45 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit, in a chalice or goblet. It goes well with rich, flavorful foods such as roasted chicken. Buy it in store, or order it for pickup or delivery.
Customer reviews
A little strong for regular nights but I'd get it again. Opened one with a pot of mussels, worked great.
Response from CBC Liquors, Westford
Good call pairing with mussels. Next time you're in, ask about Belgian quads if you want something even richer.
First had Erastus at a bar in Portsmouth, tracked it down here right after. Big fan of how dry this finishes for such a strong tripel.
Response from CBC Liquors, Westford
Love to hear you made the trip for Erastus. If you like this style, check out Schilling's Alexandr too. - Dan
