New Holland Dragons Coconut Rum

Dragons Coconut Rum from New Holland is an intriguing exploration of flavor, bottled in Michigan but with origins rooted in Indiana. This specialty spirit, with its unusually low alcohol by volume of 11%, offers a nuanced experience that is both unique and approachable. The rum is infused with a tropical coconut essence that invites a sense of warmth and adventure. While not your typical high-proof rum, its lighter profile makes it an interesting choice for those looking to explore different facets of rum-based beverages. Ideal for mixing, Dragons Coconut Rum lends itself beautifully to a range of cocktails where its coconut character can shine. It's a delightful base for a modern take on a Piña Colada, highlighting the creamy, sweet notes of coconut without being overpowering. For those who enjoy a refreshing Mojito, this rum adds a tropical twist, making it a refreshing alternative for summer gatherings. Its lighter nature also allows it to pair well with fruit juices and soda, making it a versatile option for various mixers. When serving Dragons Coconut Rum, consider using a highball or Collins glass to accommodate the mixers and ice that complement its tropical profile. While it can be enjoyed over ice for a simple and refreshing experience, this rum truly comes alive in a well-crafted cocktail. For an added layer of flavor, garnish with fresh mint or a twist of lime, which will enhance the natural coconut notes and add a touch of aromatic complexity. In essence, Dragons Coconut Rum by New Holland offers a distinct approach to rum, marrying the familiar warmth of coconut with a lighter, more sessionable spirit profile. It's a testament to New Holland's commitment to innovation in the craft industry, offering both seasoned rum enthusiasts and curious newcomers an opportunity to experience something delightfully different.
