Description
Double Diamond by Oxbow is a 4.5% ABV stout from Maine, a dark beer with roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate notes. It has a smooth, velvety texture and a sweetness that lingers without any sharp bitterness, which keeps it easy to drink for a stout. Solid saison from Maine. Light bodied, not heavy at all. Would drink again in summer.
Tried Double Diamond at Novare Res last month and finally tracked it down here. Still as good as I remembered, just a touch more funky than most stouts.
