Sacred Profane Dark Lager

Sacred Profane's Dark Lager from Maine offers a harmonious balance of rich flavor and smooth drinkability, making it an inviting choice for those who appreciate the subtleties of a well-crafted beer. At 5.2% ABV and 20 IBU, this lager makes an impression with its subtle complexity, derived from dark malts that lend a gentle toastiness and depth. The low bitterness ensures that the malt character takes center stage, providing a satisfying, clean finish that's easy on the palate. This dark lager is versatile when it comes to food pairings, complementing a diverse range of dishes. Try it with grilled sausages or roasted meats to enhance the caramelized flavors. It also pairs well with hearty winter stews, where its maltiness can meet the richness of the broth. For a lighter option, consider matching it with earthy cheeses or mushroom-based dishes, where it can offset savory notes with its smooth profile. For an optimal tasting experience, serve Sacred Profane's Dark Lager chilled at around 45-50°F. This temperature allows the depth of the malt flavors to unfold without the chill muting their complexity. Pour it into a traditional lager glass or a stein, which will allow you to appreciate its dark hue while capturing its subtle aromas. Whether you're a seasoned beer enthusiast or simply someone who appreciates an easy-drinking lager, this brew offers a refined yet approachable choice.
