Known for its 44.7% ABV, this bitter liqueur hails from the renowned region of Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, a locale celebrated for its premium cocoa. Angostura has expertly harnessed this regional treasure to produce a bitters that heightens the sensory experience of any cocktail it graces. Expect a symphony of cocoa-driven notes underscored by a complex bouquet of botanicals. This bitters is perfect for enhancing classic and contemporary cocktails alike. It lends a velvety depth to a traditional Old Fashioned or a Manhattan, seamlessly blending with the spirits to create a harmonious balance. For those looking to experiment, consider adding a few dashes to a Negroni or even a spicy margarita for an unexpected twist. When serving, a modest amount of Angostura Cocoa Bitters goes a long way. It can be enjoyed neat to appreciate its intricate layers or incorporated over ice to mellow the intensity, allowing the cocoa aromas to flourish as they mingle with cooler temperatures. Adding a dash or two to soda water creates an intriguing non-alcoholic spritz that captures the bitters' essence without the punch of a cocktail. Whether for a professional bartender or a home enthusiast, this bitters is an essential addition to any bar, promising to elevate the craft of mixology with every drop.
