Goodfire Bonus Land

Bonus Land by GOODFIRE is a prime example of the New England IPA style, emanating from the vibrant brewing scene in Portland, Maine. Distinguished by its hazy appearance, this beer is crafted to deliver a smooth, juicy profile that sets it apart in the hop-forward landscape. With an ABV of 5%, Bonus Land provides a sessionable experience, inviting enthusiasts to savor its complexities without the overpowering alcohol content typical of some other IPAs. Despite an IBU of 0, which indicates minimal perceived bitterness, this beer still manages to deliver the lush tropical and citrus notes that define the style. The hallmark of a New England IPA like Bonus Land is its fruit-forward aroma and taste, often reminiscent of ripe peaches, mangoes, and zesty oranges. The lack of bitterness enhances its refreshing quality, making it a superb choice for those seeking a more approachable IPA. When serving, aim for a chilled temperature of around 45°F to 50°F to preserve its aromatic integrity and flavor balance. Pour it into a tulip glass to accentuate its aromatic profile and admire the delicate, foamy head that crowns each glass. Ideal for pairing with a variety of foods, Bonus Land complements dishes with its bright, juicy characteristics. Consider it alongside spicy shrimp tacos, where its citrus notes can counterbalance the heat, or pair it with a mild cheese platter to highlight its fruitiness without overshadowing the delicacy of the cheese. Its versatility also extends to grilled chicken or a classic Margherita pizza, where it can enhance the freshness of the basil and the creaminess of the mozzarella. Whether enjoying a casual meal with friends or unwinding after a long day, Bonus Land captures the essence of the New England IPA with its distinct blend of flavors and aromas, making it a worthy addition to any craft beer enthusiast's collection.
