Sierra Nevada Big Little Thing

Sierra Nevada's Big Little Thing is an Imperial IPA hailing from California, distinguished by its robust 9% ABV and a measured bitterness of 45 IBU. This beer is a testament to the craftsmanship of its brewer, offering a bold and balanced profile that showcases the complexity typical of Imperial IPAs. Expect a vibrant symphony of hop flavors, where the bitterness is pronounced yet harmonized with a subtle malt undertone. It's a beer that engages the palate with its layered notes, which might include hints of citrus, pine, and perhaps a touch of tropical fruit — characteristics often celebrated in this style. When serving Big Little Thing, aim for a temperature between 45 and 50 degrees Fahrenheit, which allows its flavors to unfold without overshadowing one another. The ideal glassware for this beer is a tulip glass. The shape of the tulip glass helps concentrate the aromas while providing enough room for the beer’s thick foam head to develop, enhancing the drinking experience. This Imperial IPA pairs beautifully with robust dishes that complement its intensity. Consider serving it alongside spicy barbecued meats or rich, creamy cheeses, both of which will stand up to and highlight the beer's hop-forward profile. For those preferring lighter fare, fried foods like fish and chips could provide a delightful contrast to the beer's bitterness, creating a balanced and satisfying meal. Big Little Thing is a beer that showcases Sierra Nevada's dedication to brewing excellence, offering a bold yet balanced taste experience for those who appreciate the nuances of a well-crafted Imperial IPA.
