Description
Art Chardonnay by Anchor Hope is an intriguing blend that defies traditional categorization. Despite its name suggesting a classic varietal, this unique beverage combines the refreshing qualities of a Chardonnay with the artisanal craftsmanship of beer-making. Hailing from California, this product targets those who appreciate the unexpected, offering a versatile and refreshing experience that bridges the gap between wine and beer. With an ABV of 7.0%, Art Chardonnay surprises with its lightness, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a beverage with subtly balanced fruitiness and a gentle malt presence. While not conforming to the typical profile of a Chardonnay, you can expect a crisp and refreshing sip, featuring subtle notes that may bring to mind citrus or green apple, paired with a mild malty undertone that extends to a clean finish. The experience is further accentuated by its modest bitterness, measured at 15 IBU, which adds a layer of complexity without overwhelming the palate. For those looking to pair Art Chardonnay with food, its versatile profile makes it a delightful companion to a range of dishes. Consider serving it alongside light salads, seafood such as grilled shrimp or pan-seared fish, and soft cheeses that can complement its unique character. The typical Chardonnay glass, with its wide bowl, will allow you to fully appreciate the subtle aromatics and carbonation that this beverage offers. Art Chardonnay is best enjoyed slightly chilled, around 45-50°F, to ensure its crisp qualities are at the forefront. While decanting is not necessary, allowing it to breathe for a moment can enhance its vibrant flavors. This innovative blend is designed for those who are ready to explore a refreshing, drink-now option that remains open to interpretation and can spark conversation among both wine and beer aficionados.

so we split the can after yard work and honestly could have finished off two more. Refreshing without being sweet or heavy. My new summer weird favorite.

First time trying this out on the porch at sunset. Got some odd looks from friends when I explained it was half beer, half chardonnay kind of thing, but everyone ended up liking it more than they thought. Would drink again, especially outside.

Glad you took Art Chardonnay outdoors, perfect spot for something different like that. If you're ever after something in the same ballpark but a little bolder, give Brooklyn Special Effects Hoppy Amber a try next time.

Had it with lemon grilled chicken and asparagus. Really interesting combo, almost like a spritzy white but with a beer vibe. Good for those in-between meal nights. Maybe just a touch light for my taste but I liked it.
