Menabrea Ambrata

MENABREA Ambrata is a distinctive amber ale hailing from the picturesque region of Piedmont. This beer is a testament to the traditional brewing expertise of MENABREA, capturing a harmonious blend of hop and malt characteristics. With an ABV of 5% and an IBU of 30, Ambrata strikes a pleasing balance between bitterness and a malt-forward profile, making it both approachable and complex. Upon pouring, Ambrata reveals a rich amber hue with a creamy off-white head that begs exploration. The aroma is a delightful interplay of caramel and toasted malt, nuanced by a subtle floral hop scent. On the palate, the beer delivers a smooth texture and a depth of flavor characterized by notes of toffee, nuts, and a hint of dried fruit, underscored by a mild bitterness that cleanses the finish. To fully appreciate the intricate flavors of MENABREA Ambrata, serve this beer at a temperature of around 45-50°F. This range allows the malt richness to shine while keeping the hop bitterness in check. The ideal glassware is a tulip or a nonic pint glass, which enhances the aromatic profile and showcases the beer's beautiful amber color. Pair MENABREA Ambrata with hearty dishes that can stand up to its robust flavor. It's an excellent companion to roasted meats, such as beef or lamb, and complements the savory notes of aged cheeses. For a vegetarian option, try it alongside mushroom risotto or grilled portobello mushrooms, which echo its earthy undertones.
