About German Style Beer

German style beer covers the lagers, wheat beers and strong bocks that come from Germany's brewing traditions. Our Westford shelf includes Hofbrau Dunkel, Helles, Zwickl, Schlenkerla Urbock, Celebrator and Augustus Weizen Doppelbock, with makers such as Ayinger, Hofbrau Munchen, Augustiner Brau, Schilling and Toppling Goliath. Helles is soft and malty, dunkel is dark and toasty, weizen is a wheat beer with banana and clove notes, and doppelbock is strong and rich.
