Description
Grand Reserve Trinita by Piattelli is a distinguished red blend hailing from the sun-drenched Cafayate Valley in Mendoza, Argentina. This wine showcases the unique characteristics of its terroir, offering a tapestry of flavors that reflect the region's diverse climate and soil. With an ABV of 14.5%, this blend balances power and elegance, inviting exploration into its dynamic profile. Expect an aromatic bouquet that typically features layers of dark fruit, such as blackberry and plum, intertwined with subtle notes of spice and earth. On the palate, the wine reveals a full-bodied texture, supported by firm yet refined tannins and a refreshing acidity that keeps each sip lively. The oak aging often imparts hints of vanilla and cocoa, adding to its complex character, and the finish tends to be long and satisfying, leaving a lasting impression. To fully appreciate the Grand Reserve Trinita, serve it at a slightly cool room temperature, around 60-65°F (15-18°C). Decanting for about 30 minutes can enhance its aromatic profile and soften the tannins, allowing the wine's true nature to unfold. Use a large, rounded glass to capture its intricate aromas and allow the wine to breathe, enhancing your tasting experience. This wine pairs beautifully with rich, hearty dishes, such as grilled lamb, beef tenderloin, or a robust mushroom risotto. While it is ready to drink now, this red blend has the potential to evolve gracefully with a few years of aging, rewarding patience with further complexity and depth.

Back for my third bottle of Trinita this year. Easy choice, will keep buying as long as they have it.

Solid red blend. Full bodied but a little heavier than I usually go for. Probably better with steak.
