Old Grand Dad Bonded Bourbon

Old Grand-Dad Bonded Bourbon stands out with its rich heritage and distinctive character, a testament to the high-rye mash bill that imparts a robust spiciness to this Kentucky classic. With a commanding 50% ABV, this bourbon is crafted under the stringent guidelines of the Bottled in Bond Act, ensuring it has been aged for a minimum of four years and made by a single distiller in a single distillery season. The result is a bold, balanced whiskey with layers of complexity. The tasting experience of Old Grand-Dad Bonded Bourbon begins with a pronounced aroma of toasted oak mingling with hints of vanilla and caramel, offering a prelude to its tantalizing flavor profile. On the palate, expect a harmonious blend of spicy rye notes, balanced by the sweetness of corn, creating a lively interplay that is both invigorating and satisfying. The finish is long and warming, leaving traces of peppery spice and a subtle smokiness that lingers enticingly. For those who appreciate their whiskey neat, Old Grand-Dad Bonded Bourbon reveals its full spectrum of flavors when served in a Glencairn glass, allowing for optimal nosing and sipping. However, a splash of water can gently open up its aromatic profile, softening the edges without compromising its core essence. If you prefer your drink on the rocks, a large ice cube in a rocks glass can mellow its boldness while gradually unveiling the bourbon's intricate layers. This versatile spirit shines in classic cocktails like the Old Fashioned, where its spiciness and high proof can stand up to bitters and sugar, creating a drink of great depth and character. It also makes for a robust Manhattan, where its rye-forward profile pairs seamlessly with sweet vermouth, delivering a timeless cocktail experience. Whether savored on its own or as the heart of a mixed drink, Old Grand-Dad Bonded Bourbon promises a genuine taste of American whiskey craftsmanship.
