Remus Repeal Reserve

Remus Repeal Reserve stands as an homage to the momentous repeal of Prohibition, encapsulating the spirit of that era in each carefully crafted bottle. This Kentucky bourbon is a testament to the art of blending, offering a sophisticated mix of select aged bourbons that result in a uniquely rich and complex profile. The bourbon's ABV of 50.0% allows its bold character to shine, presenting a harmonious balance between robust flavors and smooth refinement. Upon nosing, you can expect warm aromas typical of a bourbon of this caliber—vanilla and caramel intertwine with subtle hints of charred oak, suggesting the bourbon's time spent maturing in barrels. On the palate, these notes evolve, with the sweetness of burnt toffee giving way to more spicy undertones, likely due to the rye influence often found in such blends. Each sip is an exploration of layered flavors, making it an excellent choice for those who appreciate depth in their whiskey. While Remus Repeal Reserve shines when sipped neat, allowing its full bouquet of flavors to be appreciated, it also performs exceptionally well over a large ice cube. The gradual chill opens up the bourbon's aromatics and softens its robust profile without diluting its essence. For those who enjoy a classic cocktail, this bourbon makes a distinguished base for a Manhattan, where its complexity can play off the sweetness of the vermouth and the bitters' spice. A Glencairn glass is ideal for those who wish to savor the whiskey's aromatic nuances, while a rocks glass serves well for leisurely sipping. Whether you're crafting cocktails or enjoying it straight, Remus Repeal Reserve invites whiskey enthusiasts to experience a piece of history, bottled with care and precision.
