Description
Funcrusher by Honest Weight is a New England IPA that hails from the vibrant craft beer community of Massachusetts. With an ABV of 6.5% and an IBU of 45, this brew is designed to captivate the senses with its rich tapestry of flavors. Expect a lush bouquet of hop aromas characteristic of the style, offering notes that typically range from tropical fruits to herbal undertones. The malt backbone provides a smooth and well-rounded balance, ensuring that the hop intensity never overwhelms the palate. When considering how best to enjoy Funcrusher, it's important to serve it at a temperature that allows its flavors to shine—aim for around 45-50°F. This temperature enhances the delicate hop aromas and the malt's subtle sweetness, providing a well-rounded sensory experience. Pouring this beer into a tulip glass is recommended, as the shape captures the aromas beautifully while retaining the head, allowing you to appreciate every aspect of its complex profile. As for culinary pairings, Funcrusher is versatile enough to complement a range of dishes. Its hop-forward nature pairs wonderfully with spicy foods, where the beer's bitterness can offset heat while its fruity notes add a layer of complexity. Alternatively, try it with sharp cheeses like aged cheddar, where the malt's sweetness can cut through the cheese's richness, providing a delightful contrast. In summary, Funcrusher is a testament to Honest Weight's dedication to crafting innovative and high-quality beers. Its balanced profile and aromatic richness make it an excellent choice for those seeking to explore the depths of New England IPAs. Whether enjoyed on its own or paired thoughtfully with food, it promises a rewarding experience for seasoned craft beer enthusiasts and newcomers alike.

Tried Funcrusher instead of my usual Fiddlehead IPA. Hop profile is a bit different but not bad, maybe a little less juicy than Fiddlehead.

Fiddlehead definitely has that big juicy hit. If you want something closer to that, next time ask about our other New Englands.

That 6.5 really sneaks up, wow. Shared one during the game and felt it by halftime. Good flavor, just a touch heavier than my usual IPA.
